Bayview’s Inpatient Crisis Unit operates 24-hours a day, 365 days a year. It is a designated Baker Act receiving facility for people potentially at-risk of endangering themselves and/or others due to symptoms associated with mental illness. All new admissions receive an in-depth psychiatric evaluation by a licensed Psychiatrist in order to determine the best course of treatment. Our Crisis Stabilization Unit provides psychiatric treatment, daily consultation with a psychiatrist, group therapy, case management and a supportive environment dedicated to stabilizing individuals and helping them to return safely to their homes and community.
